Enrollment and Admission
Enrollment in the ENSSMAL integrated and specific preparatory cycle is open to baccalaureate students (Experimental Sciences, Mathematics, and Technical Mathematics) or an equivalent diploma. The access conditions are outlined in the ministerial circular n° 1 of 11 Ramadhan 1438H, corresponding to June 6, 2017, referring to the pre-registration and orientation of baccalaureate holders for the academic year 2017-2018.
Following the preparatory cycle, students are guided towards one of the ENSSMAL fields of study through a qualifying exam.

Classic System
Marine Science Engineer (BAC + 5)
The training of students lasts for five years and is structured as follows:
- Two years of Common Core Program of Marine Sciences (TCSM) wherein students receive the fundamental knowledge.
- A year of pre-specialization wherein students prepare for a specialization.
- Two years of specialization in which students will acquire extensive training in one of the four existing fields of study. This specialization will be completed through an internship at sea and/or in the field along with the drafting of a dissertation to obtain the diploma of Marine Science Engineer in one of the four following majors:
- Coastal Planning
- Marine Environment
- Aquaculture
- Fishing and Fisheries
